Day 25 – October 1, 2026 – Matthew 25

We have spent a lot of time in this chapter, but I don’t think we ever spoke about the primary message of this chapter. We have taken it in bits in pieces, now talking about the end and what the church is required to be a Matthew 25 church: feed the hungry, clothe the naked, welcome the stranger etc. Then the parable of the buried talent, or the talent that was multiplied. I don’t think we ever looked at the bridesmaids, but they all point to the fact that we have to be prepared for what the Lord requires of us becaues we do not know when he will return and require it from us. The lesson from the bridesmaids parable is not: “Do not share!” It is be prepared.
